The Quality of Life Learning Center’s mission is to impact long term economic self-sufficiency for individuals and families who are Experiencing unemployment or homelessness.

The Quality of Life Learning Center program is designed to support participants through supportive case management. In partnership with a case manager, participants develop a personalized Action Plan with a focus on overcoming the barriers that lead to crisis and poverty. The participants set goals in employment, career/education development, financial stability, housing stability and health care.

 
 
 

 Services Provided:

  • Workplace Essentials, Budgeting, First Time Home Buyers, and other classes

  • Individual and Family Action Plans

  • Financial Assistance

  • Legal Aid Clinic

Benefits of the Program:

  • Referrals to Nashville Financial Empowerment Center, Tennessee College of Applied Technology, Maximus and How’s Nashville

  • Life Skills Classes at no cost to the participant

  • Participants may qualify for job placement

  • Referrals to other agencies as needed

The Salvation Army Workplace Essentials and Hope Program is a Workplace Excellence, soft skills development program for individuals with a history of unemployment or barriers to employment. Classes are held the second week per month and focus on 10 soft skills, job readiness, resume building, mock interviewing and overcoming barriers to employment. Following the class participants will enroll in the Hope case management program and meet bi-weekly with their Life Skills Coach Participants to continue to increase education/career, housing and financial stability. Participants will increase their knowledge of marketable essential workplace skills, develop their current life skills and career path. Participants may qualify for job placement and financial assistance.

Classes may be in groups or set up as one on one training based on your availability.
